About Me
I have worked with the urban Indigenous community for over twenty years. I am a Mother, Daughter, Sister and cousin.
Counselling and traditional supports from a two- eyed seeing approach using true Indigegogy and some western ways but you decide what works best for you. I have worked front line with community, provided care for children in a foster home setting, an authorized worker, training facilitator, I have also worked in school and secure settings. I am a college Professor.
I have a degree from Ryerson University in Social Work in partnership with First Nations Technical Institute. I am mixed ancestry both Mohawk and Irish. I have always worked with people from the heart. As Indigenous people we do heart work not head work.
